Throughout my twenties and thirties, I had always been able to use exercise as a way to release stress and feel good, and that also allowed me to basically eat reasonably well and not worry about adding on any extra weight. As I approached my late 30s, I noticed that even with my hard and intense workouts, I was beginning to gain weight.  I knew it was time to work on my nutrition and learn more about how to fuel my body properly and efficiently. I looked at it as an opportunity to learn about another aspect of my health and well being.
