Thanksgiving is at my house this year! And, yes, while I'll be focused on lightening things up I will be serving all of my family's favorites. Nothing crazy on my menu! Real food. Lightened Up. Super delicious.
I love Thanksgiving and can't wait to start cooking next Wednesday! This year I ordered a fresh brined turkey from Whole Foods. It gets picked up Tuesday to sit in the fridge for a couple days prior to cooking (it has a thin layer of ice to keep it fresh).
Here's what I'll be serving my family this Thanksgiving:
This is all, folks! Not going overboard with tons of snacks or appetizers. We'll eat a hearty breakfast of eggs, turkey sausage, and homemade biscuits with local honey. I'm drooling thinking about those biscuits! I'm fairly confident I could live on biscuits and honey alone. So delicious.
We'll eat a late lunch - probably around 2pm so for appetizers I'll have out some veggies and greek yogurt dip, crackers, cheese and some ham for the kiddos. Nothing fancy!
What are you serving this year? Drop me a comment and share your favorite "lightened up" dish!
